We are committed to protecting our environment while recovering any residual asset & material value.
Why choose us?
For telecom, high tech, and IT equipment that have no resale value, either as a whole or disassembled into its component parts, our advanced regional partner facilities ensure a quick and secure process through component and commodity recycling services. A wide range of electronic, telecom, and communications equipment is dismantled and processed, with hazardous substances recovered and disposed of in an environmentally friendly and internationally compliant manner. Commodities such as metals, plastics and glass are then processed for recycling. Mondial offers clients the security of knowing that their electronics recycling is done safely, securely and in compliance with local, state, federal and international regulations. Our processes and downstream partners meet the highest industry standards for ethical and compliant recycling. Globally responsible & practical recycling.
Since 2004, over 93 bills were introduced at the US federal and state level concerning electronics and landfill disposal bans. Internationally, 11 countries have adopted the European Union Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE) Directive of 2003. Mondial works in partnership with our clients to ensure compliance with current and expected legislation in each of our operations worldwide. Our recycling programs follow a strict adherence to the R2 (Responsible Recycling) accredited certification program, endorsed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the WEEE Directive. We provide advanced OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) takeback solutions and exceed the requirements of government legislation where possible.
Waste electronic products are dismantled and separated into commodity groups based upon their material composition. Hazardous items such as CRTs, batteries, circuit boards, and even toner cartridges require specialized processes to recover the hazardous substances such as lead and mercury safely. The material groups are then sent for processing for final reclamation with audited downstream refiners and smelters to return the commodities to the manufacturing stream when possible.
Mondial provides its clients with detailed reports for each container or shipment of any waste equipment processed. Strict controls are maintained on all outgoing material to ensure no equipment or components ever go to a landfill. After processing and material recycling, a Certificate of Recycling and detailed Disposition Report are issued by Mondial for each container or truckload processed. Customized reporting programs are available to meet any specific requirements.
Any electronic data is securely wiped or shredded to protect sensitive business information and to comply with Acts such as Gramm-Leach Bliley and HIPAA in the US. Mondial provides in-facility and on-site solutions for the secure destruction of data storage devices, meeting DOD 5220.22-M (Department of Defense) standard and the guidelines established by the NAID (National Association for Information Destruction).
Mondial is committed to recycling 100% of the electronic and hazardous materials recovered. We provide our clients with a transparent downstream chain of custody. Each or our partner facilities are ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and provide compliant solutions to the WEEE Directive, R2, and other international environmental regulations and standards. We offer our clients the security of knowing that their electronics recycling is done safely, securely, and in compliance.
